Volvo Opens Up Opportunity for EX90 to Become a Fleet Vehicle
Jakarta — Volvo Car Indonesia has officially expanded its electric vehicle line-up by launching the EX90. With premium status, Volvo hopes the launch will broaden its target customers.
The EX90, an electric SUV, offers a substantial passenger capacity of seven seats. By contrast, many other electric SUVs operate in the five-seat segment.
Ilham Suryo Aldianto, Corporate Planning Assistant Manager at Volvo Cars Indonesia, said that the EX90 with seven seats can be used not only by ordinary consumers but also as a fleet vehicle for companies. Its spacious dimensions combined with the efficiency typical of a fully electric vehicle provide added value for executive-level mobility.
“Sometimes some consumers may prefer, you know, to drive themselves. But it can also be hired for companies that want their EV fleet, still wanting an SUV,” Ilham told reporters during the EX90 launch in Jakarta on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.
The combination of comfort, spaciousness, functionality, and driving performance is what makes the Volvo EX90 a key weapon to win the hearts of wealthy consumers in the country.
“That’s what we want to achieve in Indonesia as well. Not only for businessmen or those who want to be driven, but also for families who want a large space, its style is also ok, its range is good as well,” said Ilham.
