Volvo EX90 officially launched at Rp2.5 billion price tag

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Volvo Car Indonesia officially launched the premium vehicle in the electrification segment, the all-new Volvo EX90, priced at Rp2.5 billion.

With such a substantial price, the vehicle is claimed to come with a range of features and advanced technologies ready to accompany daily mobility of modern consumers whom Volvo targets.

Volvo Car Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Koji Horii, in a formal statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, said the Volvo EX90 is a tangible embodiment of the company’s commitment to the Indonesian market in the electrification segment, prioritising comfort, safety and smart features.

‘We are proud to present this flagship electric SUV in Indonesia as part of Volvo’s long-term commitment to supporting more sustainable premium mobility,’ Koji Horii said.

Equipped with a battery capacity of 111 kWh, the Volvo EX90 is claimed to be capable of travelling up to 600 kilometres on a single charge.

This eco-friendly vehicle in the premium segment arrives with two configurations: Twin Motor and Twin Motor Performance.

According to notes shared, the Twin Motor Performance variant can deliver up to 510 horsepower with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the Twin Motor variant delivers 402 horsepower with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

To justify its high price, the EX90 has also been equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that provides more stable, smooth and responsive driving performance in various road conditions.

The EX90 also has a towing capacity of up to 2,200 kg, offering a blend of functional capability and premium driving comfort typical of Volvo.

In terms of design, the vehicle exudes luxury from a premium yacht, as seen in its elegant details.

Inside, the EX90 features a spacious cabin, a vertical 14.5-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, integrated with a 9-inch driver information display and a premium audio system to deliver a driving experience that is more modern and intuitive.

This vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive set of safety features, including Collision Avoidance with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Steer Assist.

It also includes Cross Traffic Alert with Autobrake, Pilot Assist with Lane Change Assist, and Driver Monitoring Alert to help deliver a safer and more comfortable driving experience.
