Volvo ES90 Officially Launched in Indonesia: Rp2.1 Billion Price and Full Specifications
Volvo Cars Indonesia officially launched the Volvo ES90 in Jakarta on Thursday (5 March 2026). The luxury electric sedan is positioned as Volvo’s new flagship to strengthen its dominance in the premium, environmentally friendly segment.
Volvo Indonesia CEO Koji Hori said the ES90 marks a crucial phase in the Swedish brand’s electrification strategy in the country. ‘This is a new phase for electrification that we want to bring to Indonesia as Volvo. Together with safety, innovation, and everything Volvo needs to do, this new model is the ES90,’ he said.
As a high-performance electric sedan, the ES90 is equipped with a large-capacity battery of 92 kWh. Based on WLTP testing, it can travel up to 651 km on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range electric sedans in its class today.
For performance, the electric motor develops 333 PS (equivalent to 329 hp) with a peak torque of 480 Nm. Another standout feature is the rapid charging capability, where the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 22 minutes.
The ES90 features a Scandinavian design language that is minimalist yet elegant. Physically, the sedan has relatively pronounced proportions to ensure maximum cabin comfort for occupants.
Inside the cabin, a futuristic feel is immediate thanks to a 9-inch instrument display behind the steering wheel and a 14.5-inch central infotainment touchscreen. This entertainment system runs on a Google-based operating system integrated natively.
Passenger audio is pampered by the Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 25 speakers throughout the cabin. Other features include a head-up display and 4-zone climate control that allows separate temperature settings for each occupant.
Volvo Cars Indonesia General Manager Haryanto Djayaputra added that they are optimistic the model will be well received by Indonesian consumers seeking a blend of luxury, performance and environmental sustainability.
