Jakarta (ANTARA) - Volvo Cars on Thursday launched the Volvo ES90 in the Indonesian market, offering the electric sedan at Rp2.1 billion (on the road Jakarta). The launch marks Volvo’s effort to strengthen its position in the premium eco-friendly sedan segment. “This is a new phase for electrification that we want to bring to Indonesia as Volvo. Together with safety, innovation, and everything Volvo must do, this new model is the ES90,” said Koji Hori, Volvo Indonesia CEO. The ES90 is a luxury electric sedan that the company says combines Scandinavian design, advanced safety technology, and emission-free power. The car, imported in Completely Built Up (CBU) from Malaysia, is equipped with a 92 kWh battery and offers a range of up to 651 km (WLTP). According to the company, the vehicle’s battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in only 22 minutes. The sedan measures 5,000 mm long, 1,942 mm wide, and 1,546 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,102 mm. The cabin features a large 9-inch instrument display, a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen (with Google), a head-up display, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 25 speakers, and 4-zone climate control. General Manager Volvo Cars Indonesia Haryanto Djayaputra said that eight ES90 units were available this month. The first deliveries to customers will begin at the end of April 2026.
