Sucor Sekuritas assesses that global market volatility continues to overshadow stock market movements in recent times. Nevertheless, this situation is viewed as opening opportunities for retail investors to take positions in medium- or long-term strategies. CEO of Sucor Sekuritas, Bernadus Wijaya, stated that external pressures such as geopolitical tensions and global interest rate directions are the main factors of uncertainty. However, the Indonesian stock market is still seen as showing resilience. “In the midst of a volatile market, investors cannot merely react to price movements,” he said in a written statement on Monday (13/4/2026). Bernadus added that a reactive approach could cause investors to miss long-term opportunities. According to him, investors need a deeper understanding, targeted strategies, and a long-term perspective. In connection with this, Sucor Sekuritas will hold the Stock Idea Festival 2026 on 23 May 2026 at Bengkel Space SCBD. This event serves as a discussion forum for investors to understand market dynamics. Throughout the trading session, the index reached a high of 7,500.135 and a low of 7,351.361. The JCI movement at the start of the session was initially pressured, touching the red zone, but gradually reversed to strengthen and remained in the green area until the close of the first session.
