PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), Indonesia’s pioneer commercial electric vehicle (EV) issuer, reported solid performance growth in the first quarter of 2026. The company recorded a 58% year-on-year increase in net sales.

This growth was primarily driven by a significant rise in the commercial EV segment, as demand for low-emission fleets increased. Meanwhile, the company’s spare parts manufacturing segment also saw positive growth, albeit modest, in line with the gradual recovery of the national automotive industry.

Alongside the net sales growth, VKTR achieved an 823% year-on-year increase in operating profit, supported by operational efficiencies that kept business costs relatively stable despite significant EV sales growth and rising energy tariffs due to global geopolitical dynamics. This reflects disciplined cost control and effective operational strategies during the company’s expansion phase.

The company also reported a 98% year-on-year rise in net profit. On the balance sheet, its financial position remained robust and stable. As of end-Q1 2026, total assets, liabilities, and equity grew by 2%, 5%, and 1% year-to-date respectively, indicating sound financial management amid business expansion.

“VKTR continues to record positive growth, demonstrating that the transformation towards commercial EVs in Indonesia is ongoing and increasingly accepted by the market. Our focus is not only on short-term growth but also building a strong business foundation through strengthening the TKDN ecosystem, production capacity readiness, product portfolio expansion, and comprehensive after-sales service to create healthy and sustainable growth,” said PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk’s President Director, A. Ardiansyah Bakrie.

This positive performance reflects VKTR’s success in maintaining growth momentum amid a challenging industry environment while strengthening its foundation for more mature commercialisation.

Electric Vehicle Acceleration and Market Acceptance

During Q1 2026, VKTR completed the delivery of 30 12-metre electric buses to TransJakarta operator to support Jakarta’s electric public transport operations. With this addition, VKTR has cumulatively supplied 152 electric buses to TransJakarta’s fleet, accounting for around 30% of the total 500 electric buses currently in operation.
