Vivo, a Chinese smartphone maker, quietly released a new phone from its flagship X-series family, the Vivo X300 FE, in Russia on Wednesday 4 March 2026. The device is the latest addition to the Vivo X300 series, complementing the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro which were launched globally earlier. Despite being part of the X300 family, the X300 FE looks different from its siblings, both in design and specification, and appears to be a rebranded version of another line, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini, which had launched in China in December 2025.

The most striking difference is the camera module design. While the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro use a large round camera module on the back, the X300 FE uses an elongated pill-shaped camera module. In terms of camera hardware, the X300 FE does not include a 200 MP sensor like the regular X300 or other flagship X300 Pro. Instead, it ships with three rear cameras: a 50 MP main sensor (Sony IMX921), a 50 MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom using the IMX882 sensor, and an 8 MP ultrawide. On the front, there is a 50 MP selfie camera for photos and video calls.

The display measures 6.31 inches with AMOLED, resolution 2640 x 1216, adaptive refresh rate 1 Hz to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. At the heart, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite) built on a 3 nm process, paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage up to 512 GB. The battery is 6,500 mAh with 90 W wired fast charging and 40 W wireless charging.

The Vivo X300 FE runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo promises 5 years of Android updates and 7 years of security updates. It also carries IP68 and IP69 certifications, making the device dust- and water-resistant, capable of withstanding immersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for 30 minutes.

In Russia, the X300 FE is available in Moonlight White, Cool Purple, and Graphite Black, as reported by KompasTekno from GizmoChina and GSM Arena. According to GSMArena, the phone was not displayed on official Vivo stores in Russia, but third-party retailers show the X300 FE starting at 60,124 roubles (about Rp 13 million) for the 12 GB/256 GB variant. It is not yet known whether the phone will be released in Indonesia.
