The technology brand vivo is preparing to release a new device from its S-series, named the vivo S2 FE, which has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.

The appearance of this handset on Geekbench follows shortly after a vivo device with model number V2640 was spotted in the Bluetooth SIG and BIS certification databases, which are telecommunications regulators in India.

Reports from Gizmochina on Saturday (19/9) local time reveal that according to the Geekbench listing, the vivo S2 FE scored 868 points in single-core testing and 2,887 points in multi-core testing.

Geekbench lists the phone as featuring a MediaTek MT6858 processor with four cores running at 2.00GHz and four cores running at 2.50GHz, alongside a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. These clock speeds are consistent with the Dimensity 7300e, suggesting this may be the chipset utilised in the vivo S2 FE.

The Geekbench listing also indicates that the operating system used is Android 16, with 6GB of RAM embedded in the device. This configuration is likely only one of the available options, meaning other RAM and storage configurations may be offered upon the phone’s launch.

This news complements previous reports suggesting that the vivo S2 FE may be another version of the vivo V80 Lite 5G, which was previously mentioned in Malaysia with a large 10,000 mAh battery. The Malaysian version of the vivo V80 Lite 5G is known to feature a 6.84-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP rear camera, a 32 MP selfie camera, and 44W fast charging.

While the Malaysian model also uses the Dimensity 7300e, which matches the chipset displayed in the Geekbench listing for the vivo S2 FE, the connection between the two handsets remains unconfirmed as vivo has not yet officially announced the S2 FE or shared its full specifications.
