Vivo reportedly developing V80 phone with superior camera features

Vivo is reportedly developing the Vivo V80, which will be equipped with superior camera features such as zoom of up to 10x in Portrait mode.

A Gizmochina publication on Tuesday cited a SmartPrix report stating that the Vivo V80 will be presented as a phone with a primary focus on photography and content creation.

Vivo will reportedly bring camera technology from its top-tier X Series to the V80.

The Vivo V80 is expected to be fitted with a 50MP ZEISS Night telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and zoom capability of up to 10x in Portrait mode.

This feature allows users to take portrait photos from a greater distance whilst maintaining the framing character typically produced by a telephoto camera.

If the leaked information is correct, the Vivo V80 will be the first phone in the V Series to offer the 10x portrait zoom feature.

The feature enables users to record video with a blurred background effect and apply colour grading directly through the camera application.

The 4K Cinematic Video mode reportedly includes Modern Movie, Vibrant, and Pastel options.

These options are likely to be offered so that users can produce more cinematic recordings without additional editing using other applications.

The Vivo V80 is expected to be released in India in the first week of October 2026. In addition to planning to release the V80, Vivo is reportedly set to introduce the V80 FE.
