Chinese smartphone vendor Vivo has officially entered the over-ear headphone market with the launch of its first noise-cancelling wireless ANC headphones. The device is reportedly set to be unveiled in China alongside the Vivo S60 smartphone series and the new TWS 5e earbuds on Friday, 29 May 2026. This product marks Vivo’s new venture into the audio devices business, as the company has previously been known for its TWS earbuds such as the TWS 2, TWS 3e, and TWS 5i. A key feature of Vivo’s first over-ear headphones is multipoint connectivity to three devices simultaneously. Vivo claims the connectivity feature supports various platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. Unlike TWS earbuds, over-ear headphones require more complex design and engineering due to larger drivers, advanced ANC systems, and long-wear comfort. Through this debut product, Vivo is expected to target users needing audio devices for work, study, or frequent travel. This is evident in the minimalist design and connectivity features tailored for daily productivity. The headphones weigh approximately 238 grams and come in two colour options: Cloud White and Breeze Purple. For audio, Vivo has equipped the device with 40mm dynamic drivers combined with ANC to block ambient noise. The headphones also support 360-degree spatial audio and Hi-Res Audio technology. Battery life, charging speed, and other features remain undisclosed. Full specifications and pricing will be announced in the coming weeks.
