Jakarta (ANTARA) - The atmosphere of the 2026 Lebaran homecoming flow at Kampung Rambutan Terminal is enlivened by a unique service at the Mudik Ramadan Post, offering free relaxation services by therapists with disabilities, particularly the visually impaired, as one of the facilities for homecoming travellers.

“These disability workers were trained by the Social Services Agency and then assigned to provide relaxation massage services for the homecoming travellers. There is quite a lot of interest, and we are also grateful that they have provided services for passengers at Kampung Rambutan Terminal,” said the Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, when met at the location on Friday.

The service is part of a series of integrated facilities provided to reduce the fatigue of passengers who are about to undertake the homecoming journey.

The assistant to the disability therapists, Siti Rupaidah, mentioned that the massage service is carried out by six disability therapists who work in shifts every day.

“A day can serve up to 50 people. Sometimes until late at night, there are still those who need it,” she said.

This service operates from 08:00 WIB to 21:00 WIB during the Lebaran homecoming period. The service is part of the social care initiated by Baznas to provide comfort for passengers.

In addition to free massages, the Mudik Ramadan Post at Kampung Rambutan Terminal also provides free health checks involving various agencies such as the Indonesian Red Cross, as well as iftar distributions for homecoming travellers breaking their fast every day during the Lebaran homecoming period.

Kampung Rambutan Terminal is also supported by various security elements such as the police, TNI, Satpol PP, Transportation Agency, and Scouts to ensure the smooth flow of homecoming traffic.

“This is to ensure that the community feels safe when undertaking the homecoming journey,” said Revi.

The terminal also provides a post for checking the roadworthiness of buses to ensure travel safety. Other facilities prepared include drivers’ rest rooms, lactation rooms, and additional passenger waiting areas.

The Mudik Ramadan Post at Kampung Rambutan Terminal is expected to become a centre for integrated services that not only assist homecoming travellers but also bring social values and inclusivity for people with disabilities.
