JAKARTA — The curated shopping exhibition Brightspot is back, titled brightspotCITY, from May 27-31 and June 4-7 at Agora Mall in the Thamrin Nine Complex, Central Jakarta. Occupying a spacious area of 7,000 square metres, the exhibition features 251 curated brands selected from around 3,000 applicants. Spread across three floors, the exhibition offers a comprehensive range of lifestyle products, including men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, bags, perfumes, shoes, and various food and beverage stalls. Mostly Gen Z visitors are taking advantage of the exhibition to shop directly for their favourite brands. Here’s what they had to say about shopping at brightspotCITY. ‘I just came to look around, but then something caught my eye, so I ended up buying immediately,’ the visitor told Kompas.com during a private opening session at the venue on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. Moli admitted she didn’t prepare a specific budget when leaving home, as she initially had no intention to shop. However, she ended up buying two pairs of trousers from Hotel Official priced between Rp700,000 and Rp800,000, and also took note of two other brands that caught her eye, namely Mata Clothier and ODDLY. Despite enjoying her time at brightspotCITY, Moli said she had difficulty finding some booths due to the large space and confusing layout. Another visitor, Samuel, came from South Jakarta to accompany his wife around the exhibition. ‘I just came to look around and keep my wife company, as she probably wants to shop more,’ he said. Irma, also from South Jakarta, successfully found her desired items, purchasing tops, jackets, and trousers from Morningsol with a total spend of around Rp1.8 million.
