Visit to the Edges of Senen Railway Area, Prabowo Promises to Provide Decent Housing

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has promised to construct decent housing for residents living on the edges of the railway tracks in the Senen area, Jakarta, on Thursday (26/3/2026). Prabowo reiterated this commitment following a direct inspection of the residential area along the railway near Senen Station in Central Jakarta. He stated that building decent housing for the community is his determination as President of the Republic of Indonesia. From the footage, Prabowo walked through the residential area near the railway tracks to converse with and hear the aspirations of the residents. During the visit, Prabowo wore a dark blue shirt and a dark brown cap, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Several residents appeared enthusiastic, inviting Prabowo to take photos and shake hands. “Sir, how did you know to come here, sir?” quipped one resident. While chatting with the residents, Prabowo was heard asking if they wanted houses built for them. “Yes, sir, yes, sir,” the residents shouted. There was also a moment when Prabowo asked a young child, “Are you still in school?” Afterwards, Prabowo greeted and responded to handshake invitations from other residents. Throughout the event, Prabowo was continuously surrounded by residents eager to see him and take photos.
