Visit to Pertamina Patra Niaga Provides Students with Insights into Oil and Gas Governance
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, through Regional Jawa Bagian Barat (JBB), welcomed a visit by the Ikatan Keluarga Mahasiswa Manajemen (IKKAMA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) to the Patraloka Building on Monday, 18 May. The visit aimed to provide insights into the governance of management and downstream oil and gas business processes at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.
The students were briefed on the strategic role of the company in safeguarding national energy resilience through the management of refineries, tanker fleets, fuel and LPG terminals, and the green energy transition roadmap such as Biosolar B40 and Pertamina’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Vice President Business Development & Subsidiary at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sigit Setiawan, asserted Pertamina’s commitment to safeguarding national energy resilience through reliable distribution. “Our main focus is to ensure energy availability for the community by optimizing supply chain efficiency through integrated infrastructure and by forming the Sub Holding Downstream as a concrete step to meet that commitment,” he said.
In addition, Sigit conveyed Pertamina Patra Niaga’s commitment to providing space for discussion and industry experience for the next generation. “We want students to see first-hand how the national energy management process works. Through this collaboration, we hope to share insights and provide a real industry perspective so that fellow students can better understand how the government and Pertamina are present in ensuring energy resilience now and in the future,” he added.
IKAMMA FEB UGM supervising lecturer, Dwi Astuti Barokah, expressed appreciation for the opportunity given by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga to UGM’s Management students. “We hope this visit can serve as a bridge that benefits our students in exploring new insights and getting to know the professional working environment more closely. Hopefully this meeting will inspire new ideas and create opportunities for collaboration with a positive impact for both academia and industry in the future,” she said.
