Visit Kuningan and Enjoy Discounts for the 528th Anniversary
KUNINGAN Regent Dian Rachmat Yanuar has issued a circular on the implementation of a price reduction programme to enliven the 528th anniversary of Kuningan.
The Regent has signed circular number 500.2/1775/2026TAHUN 2026 dated 26 August 2026 concerning the Implementation of Price Reduction and Discount Programmes for Goods at Modern Retail Stores, Shopping Centres and Hotels in the Context of Celebrating the 528th Anniversary of Kuningan.
The letter is addressed to those responsible for modern retail stores and shopping centres, hotel managers, cafe and restaurant managers, tourism attraction operators, as well as hotel, cafe and restaurant managers throughout Kuningan Regency.
“This policy is one of the efforts of the Kuningan Regency Government to stimulate the regional economy,” said the Regent on Friday (28/8).
This policy is also intended to increase public purchasing power, provide shopping convenience for residents, and simultaneously encourage an increase in tourist visits to various destinations in Kuningan Regency.
Dian added that the aim of the policy ahead of the 2026 Kuningan Anniversary is to provide a stimulus for trade and service activities, encourage business participation in showing appreciation to the public through price reduction and discount programmes, and maintain stability as well as the festive atmosphere of the 528th Kuningan Anniversary celebrations at shopping centres, hotels, cafes and restaurants.
“The programme implementation period runs from 1 September to 2 September 2026. The implementation and application of discounts applies to everyday necessities, local and MSME products, as well as certain clothing and food items, visitors using hotel services and others,” he stressed.
The amount of the price reduction or discount is adjusted to the internal management policy of each business, with an ideal range of 10 to 70 percent, or following national thematic programmes.
Dian also requested that business operators install attributes, banners, pennants and decorations in the front and inside areas of shops, shopping centres and hotels during the Kuningan Anniversary celebration period. Modern retail store and hotel managers are expected to report their participation or the type of thematic promotion being held to the relevant agencies, namely the Cooperatives, SMEs, Trade and Industry Office, and the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of Kuningan Regency.
“We express our appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation and participation of all business operators in supporting the success of the 528th Kuningan Anniversary commemoration,” he concluded.
