Viral Youth Brawl in Bogor as Perpetrators Play Cat-and-Mouse with Patrol Officers
A video showing several youths allegedly engaged in a brawl in the Pabuaran area, Cibinong District, Bogor, West Java, has circulated on social media. The brawl occurred in a residential neighbourhood.
In the video viewed on Saturday (28 February 2026), the incident reportedly took place in the early hours of the morning. Various implements were visible being used by the perpetrators for the brawl, including bamboo.
The perpetrators involved could be seen running around the location. Both groups appeared to attack each other, with one group subsequently fleeing the scene.
Several perpetrators arrived on motorcycles. One individual was seen in the crowd, and there appeared to be verbal altercations.
The Cibinong Police Chief, Kompol Jony Handoko, confirmed that his office had not yet received a report of the incident. However, he stated that patrols continue to be conducted daily.
“Every night we definitely patrol all the problematic hotspots,” he said.
Handoko noted that the brawl perpetrators also monitor the movement of patrol teams. Consequently, they engage in cat-and-mouse tactics to avoid detection by officers.
“So they also monitor the movements of patrol officers, essentially playing cat-and-mouse. But we will nevertheless follow up on every incident,” he concluded.
