Viral: Women in West Bandung Regency Seek Help from Dedi Mulyadi After 3-Year-Old Child Allegedly Molested
A 3-year-old child in Parongpong, West Bandung Regency, West Java, has allegedly become a victim of sexual violence, resulting in severe trauma. Regrettably, the perpetrator is someone close to the victim’s family.
This incident has captured public attention following the upload of a recording by an Instagram account @Gomest_junior, showing a woman reporting the condition of a child approximately three years old who has endured a heartbreaking ordeal. The video was subsequently reposted by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi on his personal Instagram.
“Assalamualaikum Pak Dedi Mulyadi (Governor of West Java), I have a three-year-old child, this (genital area) keeps hurting because of the actions of Wahyudin (alleged perpetrator) from Cihanjuang. My child is constantly in pain. I’ve been everywhere, to the hospital already. My child is still in pain. Please help, please provide a solution Pak Dedi,” the woman said in the video, as quoted by Republika on Tuesday (14/4/2026).
The Acting Head of the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Division at the Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection Office, Makhatir Muhammad, confirmed the case of alleged sexual violence against the child seen in the video. The alleged sexual violence was reported at the end of 2025 and was immediately followed up with assistance.
“It is true that we received the report on 9 October 2025, regarding a case of sexual violence experienced by a girl approximately three years old. And since then, we have provided immediate support,” Makhatir stated when contacted.
Makhatir explained that the report was submitted by the victim’s relative with initials C (47), a resident of Parongpong Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency, who has been caring for the victim since the biological mother passed away. Based on initial investigations, he continued, this case falls into the category of personal relations because the alleged perpetrator is someone known to the victim’s family environment.
“Based on initial statements, the alleged perpetrator is someone who has a close relationship with the victim’s family, thus having open access to the victim,” he said.
