JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Nani Sutra Sitorus (38), a woman who went viral for often not wanting to pay for meals, is currently receiving care at the Duren Sawit Regional Specialised Hospital (RSKD), East Jakarta. This information was relayed by hospital officials to the Sudin Social Services Office (Suku Dinas Sosial Sudinsos) of Central Jakarta.

‘The person is being treated at the RSKD. She is being treated by a psychiatrist,’ said Agus Aripianto, Head of Sudinsos Central Jakarta, when contacted by Kompas.com on Thursday (5 March 2026).

This means that the treatment costs for Nani are borne by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Meanwhile, the alleged mental health diagnosis for Nani has not yet been officially disclosed by the RSKD. ‘The diagnosis has not been conveyed yet. We are still awaiting further information from the hospital. But what is certain is that Mrs. Nani has already received treatment,’ Agus explained.

Earlier reports said that Nani, who frequently goes viral on social media for not paying for meals, was eventually taken into custody at McDonald’s Hayam Wuruk restaurant, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

The arrest was carried out by officers from the Sudinsos Jakarta Pusat’s Social Service, Oversight and Control Task Force (P3S) and assisted by Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) officers.

Based on a video uploaded by the Instagram account @jabodetabek24info, the woman is seen apologising to an officer to the point of bowing. The officers then asked her to stand up again.

However, the woman suddenly said, ‘Sir, please don’t viral this, Sir.’ In the same recording, Satpol PP officers and other agencies can be seen examining the woman. When asked for comment, officers also noted the absence of her identification card (KTP) and urged her to cooperate during the examination.
