Viral: Wife of TNI Member in Papua Allegedly Unfaithful with 13 Soldiers

A woman who is the wife of a TNI member in the Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih region has gone viral on social media, allegedly being unfaithful with 13 soldiers. The Cenderawasih Regional Military Command (Pomdam) has intervened to investigate the alleged infidelity.

“Regarding the viral news about this incident, it is currently in the investigation stage at the Pomdam XVII/Cenderawasih level,” said Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol) Infantry Tri Purwanto, Head of Information for Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih, as reported by detikSulsel on Friday (27 February 2026).

Letkol Tri Purwanto did not disclose further details regarding the alleged infidelity. However, he assured that his office has been investigating the matter.

“Currently, it is in the investigation stage, and the authority to provide statements is the investigator, namely the Investigator of Pomdam XVII/Cenderawasih,” he said.

In the viral post, the TNI member’s wife, also known as an Ibu Persit (military officer’s wife), is said to be 26 years old. The case was uncovered after the woman from Jayapura City was reported by her husband, who is a member of Infantry Battalion 756/Wimane Sili.

According to information, Pomdam XVII/Cenderawasih began investigating the alleged infidelity in mid-February 2026. Several witnesses and evidence including mobile phones are said to have been secured by investigators.
