A video showing United States President Donald Trump being prayed for by around 20 pastors in the Oval Office has gone viral as the United States and Israel press ahead with coordinated strikes against Iran. The clip was released by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, who also serves as Director of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, via his X account. The video had already been viewed about 7.2 million times. ‘God Bless the USA!’ Scavino wrote in the viral post.

The footage shows Trump seated at his Oval Office desk, while several pastors place a hand on his shoulder and others extend their hands towards him, praying aloud. One pastor says: ‘We pray that Your blessing and grace will always attend him. We pray that the wisdom from heaven will fill his heart and mind, and that You will guide him in the difficult times we face today.’ A second pastor adds: ‘I pray for Your blessing and protection over him. I pray for Your blessing and protection over our troops, and all the men and women who serve in our armed forces.’

Separately, photos of the moment were posted by prominent American pastor Paula White-Cain, who also serves as Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Religious Affairs. White-Cain attended the praying moment. In her Instagram post, she wrote: ‘What a DAY to pray for @POTUS, for our troops, for our great military family, for America, and Israel… for Operation Epic Fury.’

The viral video appeared as the United States and Israel continue their coordinated campaign against Iran, which has been underway since Saturday, 28 February local time. In recent days, allied forces have attacked targets across Iran, including missile facilities, naval sites and military command and control locations. The strikes have killed several senior Iranian figures, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks on targets in Israel and on US bases in Gulf states. At least six US soldiers have been killed by drone strikes hitting bases in Kuwait.
