Viral Video Shows Thief Stealing Tablet and Cash from Bogor Cafe, Police Investigate

Video of a theft at a cafe in the Cikaret area, Cibinong District, Bogor, West Java, has circulated on social media. The perpetrator is said to have made off with cafe equipment and cash.

Cibinong Police Chief Kompol Handoko stated that his office has not yet received a report on the incident. Nevertheless, an investigation will be conducted by his unit.

“There has been no report from the victim to the police station. I will order the criminal investigation unit on duty to investigate,” he said on Wednesday (17/6/2026).

In the video viewed, it is narrated that the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning. The perpetrator is seen wearing a jacket and entering stealthily.

The perpetrator is then seen heading towards the cashier area. There, the perpetrator appears to search for items that can be taken. Subsequently, a number of items are seen being carried away.

After successfully taking them, the perpetrator is seen fleeing through the point of entry. In the video, the perpetrator appears to act alone.

As a result of the incident, it is narrated that the cafe suffered losses of around Rp 8 million. The case is currently under investigation by the police.
