A video has gone viral on social media showing an official playing a game during a plenary session of the Madiun Regency Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD). The individual has been identified as the Madiun Sub-District Head. In the 18-second video, a man wearing a suit and a black peci cap is seen intently focused on his mobile phone screen, which displays an online game. He appears deeply engrossed in the game, even as the formal proceedings of the plenary session can be heard in the background. The official’s actions drew widespread criticism from netizens. The man in the video is Madiun Sub-District Head Muskin Harjoko. DPRD member Purwadi expressed shock at the sub-district head’s behaviour. ‘That is not a council member. That is the sub-district head. We were all shocked to see the viral video,’ Purwadi said. Fellow council member Anang Sujatno echoed this, confirming the individual was not a legislator but the Madiun Sub-District Head.
