Viral Video Shows Boy Allegedly Bullied and Electrocuted by Electrical Pole in Central Jakarta

A viral video circulating on social media shows a young boy allegedly being bullied by two of his friends, leading to him suffering seizures after being electrocuted by an electrical pole. The incident took place at Taman Kramat Pulo, Kramat Urban Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta. The video of the incident went viral after being uploaded to the Instagram account @jakpus.terkini. It initially shows the victim being carried by the two boys towards an electrical pole. The victim is seen struggling, but both boys still attempt to rub the victim’s genitals against the electrical pole. The victim then appears to cry, but the pair continue to rub his genitals against the pole. Afterwards, the two children immediately leave the victim, who appears to suffer seizures from being electrocuted. The victim becomes stiff and helpless, and is subsequently dragged by other children towards the middle of the field, remaining unresponsive. Other children at the park then crowd around the victim, while the two alleged perpetrators nonchalantly leave him behind. An accompanying description states that the victim is known to have been in a coma and is still undergoing treatment at hospital. Regarding this matter, the Head of the PPA-PPO Unit at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Rita Oktavia Shinta, stated that the victim’s parents have filed a report concerning the incident. ‘On 9 June 2026, the victim’s parents filed a report with the Central Jakarta Metro Police,’ said Rita to reporters on Thursday, 11 June 2026. Rita further explained that the incident is currently under police investigation. ‘It has been handled by the PPA Criminal Investigation Unit and is in the investigation process,’ she clarified.
