Viral Video of Goat Slaughtered by Thieves Who Left Entrails Behind in Bogor; Police Investigate
A livestock theft involving a goat occurred in Rawa Kalong Village, Gunung Sindur District, Bogor, West Java. The goat was butchered at the scene and its entrails left near the pen.
“The goat was dismembered, with the entrails outside the pen but close to it,” said Gunung Sindur Police Chief Kompol Budi Santoso on Saturday (21/2/2026).
The incident took place on Friday (21/2). Budi confirmed that one goat belonging to a local resident had been stolen.
“We have verified that one goat was indeed stolen. The unit chief has been to the scene, officers have been to the scene. The owner has confirmed the loss, but does not wish to file a report,” he explained.
The perpetrator remains under police investigation. Budi said he had urged the victim to file an official report with the police.
“We don’t know who did it. I’ve advised them to file a report, but we’re still waiting — no report has been lodged yet,” he said.
A video of the livestock theft has been circulating on social media. The footage shows bloodstains in the goat pen, indicating the animal was slaughtered there.
The video’s narration states that this is not the first such incident. Residents have called on security authorities to step up patrols to prevent a recurrence.
