Viral Video of Farmer Commuting by Drone in Tuban, East Java: Here Are the Facts

A video of a farmer using a drone to commute in a plantation area in Merakurak, Tuban Regency, East Java, has gone viral on social media. In the amateur footage, a man is seen standing calmly on a drone as it flies, capable of lifting him to a height of around 15 metres and travelling up to one kilometre in a single flight. The person in the video is the area head and his work partner. Budianto (47), Director of PT Bina Tani Makmur Jombang and the owner of the account that uploaded the video, stated that the clip was created as content to increase followers on his social media account. He clarified that the drone’s actual function on the plantation is to assist with agricultural operations, specifically for transporting seedlings, fertiliser, and harvests to planting areas. The drone is a modified unit originally used for spraying liquid pesticides and fertiliser onto crops from the air to improve effectiveness, especially for reaching difficult terrain.
