Viral Video: Man Allegedly Pastor YM Compares Allah to "a Pimp"
A man believed to be a pastor with the initials YM has come under intense scrutiny after his remarks equating Allah with an offensive term went viral on social media.
In a video uploaded by the Instagram account @feedgramindo, a bespectacled man can be seen making a series of statements considered insulting to the Islamic faith.
“Allah is no different from a pimp. Read Al-Ahzab 50-51. Read Anaba 33,” the man said, as quoted on Saturday, 21 February 2026.
The narrative accompanying the circulating post indicated that the video was originally uploaded via the TikTok account @psyusufmanubulu. Beyond the religiously offensive remarks, the man was also reported to have made disparaging comments about Chinese New Year traditions in separate posts.
“Not only did he insult Allah, in other posts the preacher also disparaged Chinese New Year traditions,” the accompanying narrative stated.
Since publication, the video has been flooded with comments from netizens, many expressing objections and criticism.
“This kind of blasphemy keeps happening because the government takes no firm action,” wrote one netizen.
Other users speculated that the remarks were deliberately made to attract attention. Some noted that similar cases typically end with clarifications and public apologies.
“I think the man is just desperate to go viral,” said another netizen.
“I’m tired of this kind of behaviour — it always ends with a clarification and an apology. The same cycle over and over: go viral, clarify, apologise. Go viral, clarify, apologise,” added another.
As of the time of reporting, no official statement had been issued by the relevant authorities regarding the video, nor had any direct clarification been made by the man in question. The incident has once again brought to the fore debates surrounding social media ethics and the importance of maintaining interfaith tolerance in the digital public sphere.
