A video circulating on social media shows a foreigner naming drug lords in the North Lombok area and alleging police involvement in the distribution of illegal substances. The French national even names former NTB Police Chief Irjen (Ret.) Hadi Gunawan as a drug lord. In the 22-second video viewed by detikBali, the foreigner initially states he is addressing the loss of Rp 12.8 billion. “A month ago, I made a video about police collaborating with drug lords. Today, I reveal all the names of drug lords and police involved in the drug business,” he says, as quoted from the circulating video on Thursday (26/3/2026). The foreigner, initialled LR alias A, names three drug lords operating in North Lombok, NTB. One of them is named Mujid. “Mujid, the biggest drug lord in North Lombok. Drug lord in Gili Air,” he reveals. He also mentions police officers involved in the drug distribution network, from the former NTB Police Chief, Irjen (Ret.) Hadi Gunawan, to Pemenang Police Chief AKP Henni Adriani and an officer at North Lombok Police Resort. “And from the police resort (North Lombok), the person who scammed me out of Rp 50 million,” he claims. North Lombok Police Resort Narcotics Unit Chief AKP I Nyoman Diana Mahardika does not deny the existence of the video. According to him, the 22-second video is an old one. “This is an old video,” Mahardika told detikBali. The foreigner was previously arrested by the North Lombok Police Resort Narcotics Unit along with a fisherman initialled MUB alias U, a resident of Bayan, in a methamphetamine distribution case with 0.53 grams of evidence. The arrest took place on Thursday (1/1/2026). Mahardika states that the video was made before the arrest occurred. Currently, both individuals have been designated as suspects and handed over to the prosecutor for trial. “Currently, the suspects are at the prosecutor’s stage. We have handed over responsibility to the prosecutor’s office,” he said. The foreigner’s statements have been clarified by the Professional and Security Division (Bidpropam) and the Criminal Investigation Unit of North Lombok Police Resort. “The Criminal Investigation Unit (North Lombok Police Resort) also has a report regarding defamation. The case involving the foreigner has progressed to the investigation stage and suspect determination, if I’m not mistaken,” he said. With that suspect status, the foreigner’s statements are said to be untrue. “Because he has been designated as a suspect, it means it’s not true,” Mahardika emphasised.
