Viral Video Captures Terrifying Moment in Women's KRL Carriage After Collision
The long-distance Argo Bromo Anggrek train on the Gambir-Pasar Turi route was involved in an accident with the Cikarang line KRL at Bekasi Timur Station. The collision occurred on Monday, 27 April 2026, at around 20:50 WIB.
Following the accident, a video circulated on social media depicting the condition and situation inside the women’s carriage after being struck by the Argo Bromo train. Posted by Instagram account @the.arkanline, the carriage appears dark. A tense atmosphere prevails, especially as passengers are trapped.
“Slowly, slowly, be patient,” said one female passenger in the video.
“Don’t push,” said another passenger.
Meanwhile, on-site personnel attempted to calm the passengers and urged them to exit slowly.
“Slowly,” said a male officer.
In the video, a woman manages to exit the carriage. Blood is visible from her nose and temple area. The headscarf she was wearing is no longer on her head and is merely hanging around her neck. The woman also briefly stammers.
“I can, I can (get out),” she said while exiting.
Other passengers are heard trembling, pleading with officers for assistance to exit the carriage.
“Sir, please help this, sir,” said one passenger while crying.
“Sir, I’m trapped,” said another passenger.
Death Toll Rises to 15
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) provided an update on the data regarding victims of the fatal collision between the KRL and Argo Bromo train at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday, 27 April 2026 evening.
He revealed that the total number of fatalities has reached 15 people. Meanwhile, 88 other victims are still receiving hospital treatment.
“Update as of 1 p.m. earlier, there are 15 people who have died and 88 people still under care. Including three who were previously trapped, we have evaluated and they are still receiving hospital treatment,” said AHY to reporters after inspecting Bekasi Timur Station on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.
In addition, AHY explained that the evacuation of passengers and the recovery process for the train carriages are the top priorities following this collision incident.
