Viral Timestamp Manipulation in Illegal Parking Report on JAKI, Dishub Official Sanctioned
Photos circulating online suggest that officers from the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) tampered with timestamps on reports. The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department (Sudinhub Jaksel) has sanctioned the officers who altered the time details on field handling report photos.
“Regarding this incident, the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department has taken firm action in the form of a stern reprimand through a warning letter to the Head of the Mampang Prapatan District Transportation Implementation Unit and the involved staff to ensure such incidents do not recur,” said the Head of Sudinhub Jaksel, Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu, as reported by Antara on Friday (10/4/2026).
He stated that Sudinhub Jaksel acknowledges shortcomings and inconsistencies in the reporting administration process, particularly regarding the use of photo documentation with differing timestamps, which has created an inaccurate public perception.
Therefore, they extend an apology to the public for the inconvenience arising from the circulation on social media of reports alleging discrepancies in documentation for handling public complaints via the JAKI application.
“We apologise for this incident. It serves as a lesson for us to continuously improve accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in every process of handling and reporting public complaints,” said Bernad.
Additionally, he noted that the reported location is indeed a frequent hotspot for illegal parking violations and street vendor (PKL) activities. Handling of these issues has been conducted routinely through drag-and-lift operations, pentil uprooting operations (OCP), and integrated enforcement involving TNI and Police elements.
In the JAKI complaint handling mechanism, follow-up actions are carried out in stages, from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) down to the District Implementation Unit for on-site execution.
The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department emphasises that this incident is an important lesson in strengthening internal monitoring and control systems.
“Going forward, we are committed to enhancing supervision and ensuring that on-site enforcement is carried out responsibly, in accordance with applicable rules, consistently, and sustainably, so that every public complaint can be handled quickly, accurately, and accountably,” stressed Bernad.
Sudinhub Jaksel also invites all community elements to actively participate in creating order, particularly regarding parking and traffic, to realise a more orderly and comfortable Jakarta for everyone.
The case of timestamp manipulation on a JAKI report by Dishub officers in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, went viral and drew significant attention from netizens. Residents reported illegal parking causing traffic congestion.
