Viral Student Brawl Near Mandala Krida Stadium, Jogja

A student brawl has occurred around the Mandala Krida Stadium area in Jogja. The clash involved pupils from two schools and a video of the incident circulated on social media. The clip shows a group of uniformed students on the road around Mandala Krida. Police spokesperson Iptu Dani Hasan of Polresta Jogja confirmed the incident, which happened earlier in Baciro, Gondokusuman, Jogja. At about 10:40 local time, personnel from Gondokusuman Police Station led by the station chief arrived at the scene where a group of students were seen lighting fireworks. According to witnesses, around 10 students with five motorcycles came from Jalan Tunjung towards Jalan Andong; they were wearing uniforms with graffiti. As they passed Jalan Andong, they honked, shouted, and lit fireworks, prompting nearby SMK students on Jalan Andong to run out. The situation reportedly heated due to provocation among student groups, but the arriving group left the area. No casualties were reported.
