Viral: Seven motorbikes stolen from concertgoers in Bandung
Bandung - Video footage showing youths losing motorbikes after watching a concert at Tritan Point field in Panyileukan, Bandung, on Saturday (30/5/2026) has gone viral on social media. They reportedly parked their motorbikes in the area provided by the concert organisers.
One victim, Najhan (23), said he parked his motorbike in Tritan Point’s official parking area to attend the concert on Saturday (30/5/2026) and had received an official ticket from the management.
“Seven people lost their motorbikes in the parking area,” he told journalists on Monday (1/6/2026).
He reported the incident to the police and hopes for a resolution regarding his stolen motorbike.
Bandung City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Inspector AKBP Anton said officers received seven reports of stolen motorbikes from concert attendees. He noted that victims likely parked in unauthorized areas without security personnel or CCTV cameras. Additionally, motorcyclists were reportedly instructed not to lock their handlebars.
“After receiving the reports yesterday, we immediately began investigations and are still pursuing suspects,” he said.
Panyileukan Police Chief AKP Bambang Haryono stated that some of the stolen motorbikes were not locked, with keys still in some vehicles. Police are currently investigating the case.
He added that vehicles with keys left inside were moved to safer locations by officers. “On the first day, we secured around 90 motorbikes; the second day, 60-70. For the seven missing ones, officers are still on the ground,” he said.
