Viral: SDN 4 Sape Sealed by Land Heirs, Police Ensure Teaching Continues
SDN 4 Sape in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, was sealed by a group of residents claiming to be the rightful heirs to the land. However, officers from the Sape Police immediately intervened to remove the seal. The sealing action, which occurred on Wednesday (22/7/2026), went viral on social media. Footage showed several individuals closing classrooms, hanging banners, and cordoning off the school area. A representative of the heirs stated the sealing was a demand for justice from the Bima Regency Government, as the school was built on land for which they hold proof of ownership. The heirs also demanded the government implement Bima Regent Decree Number 188.45/871/003/2010, which concerns the removal of regional assets as part of a land swap process. Sape Police Chief AKP Sirajuddin confirmed the sealing took place on Wednesday afternoon but was officially removed by his officers later that evening. He assured that teaching and learning activities at SDN 4 Sape are proceeding normally and that all students can now attend classes. He urged all parties to maintain order, security, and a conducive atmosphere so the educational process is not disrupted.
