A social media post went viral featuring a red-plated ‘B’ vehicle suspected of being used for the 2026 Eid holiday return trip. Head of BPAD DKI Jakarta, Faisal Syafruddin, clarified that the red-plated vehicle depicted in the narrative is not owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

In the viral photo, the official vehicle is captioned ‘DKI Official Vehicle Caught on Banyumanik Toll for Eid Return Trip Goes Viral’. Faisal conducted a search through the official vehicle administration system on Wednesday (25/3). Based on the check via the e-KDO application, the vehicle with the reported characteristics is confirmed not to belong to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

“Regarding the report, the vehicle in question does not belong to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, but rather to another agency. The policy on the use of official vehicles is the authority of each respective agency,” Faisal stated, as seen on the official DKI Provincial Government website on Thursday (26/3/2026).

Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspector, Dhany Sukma, emphasised that his office will take firm action if any violations of official vehicle use by apparatus within the DKI Provincial Government environment are found during the Eid holiday period. Supervision is carried out through mechanisms of summoning and clarification of related parties based on received reports, including tracing of vehicle licence plate numbers by the internal team.

“If a violation is proven, sanctions will be imposed in accordance with the applicable provisions,” he asserted.

The sanctions refer to DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 8 of 2024 on Civil Servant Discipline and Governor Regulation Number 27 of 2022 on Amendments to Governor Regulation Number 119 of 2020 on the Management of Official Vehicles.

“The form of sanctions may include moral reprimands up to deductions from additional employee income (TPP). In addition, other legal bases are Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021 on Civil Servant Discipline and National Civil Service Agency Regulation Number 6 of 2022 on the Implementation of Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021,” he explained.

As additional information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has previously conducted an audit of all regional devices to ensure that official vehicles are garaged during the Eid holiday and are located at the designated places.
