The People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia has spoken out regarding the viral video of the final round of the Four Pillars MPR Quiz Competition at the provincial level in West Kalimantan. MPR Secretary General Siti Fauziah stated that they respect the attention and input from the public regarding the dynamics in the competition.

In the circulating video viewed on Monday (11/5/2026), the judges gave different scores for the same answer from participants. In the competition, Group C from SMAN 1 Pontianak received a minus five score for an answer related to the process of selecting BPK members.

However, a similar answer given by Group B from SMAN 1 Sambas was awarded 10 points by the same judge, namely the Head of the Assessment Bureau of the MPR Secretariat General, Dyastasita. Participants from Group C protested, feeling that their answer was the same. However, the judge stated that Group C’s answer did not clearly mention the Regional Representative Council (DPD).

The MPR has also spoken out regarding the viral video. Siti said she understands that educational and youth development activities must uphold sportsmanship and objectivity.

“MPR RI understands that educational and youth development activities, including the Four Pillars LCC, must uphold the values of sportsmanship, objectivity, justice, and a constructive learning spirit,” Siti said in her statement on Monday (11/5/2026).

She mentioned that the organising committee is currently conducting an internal investigation regarding the scoring of participants’ answers. They assured that a comprehensive evaluation will be carried out on the technical aspects of the competition.

“Regarding the widespread news on social media about the 2026 Four Pillars LCC at the West Kalimantan provincial level concerning the scoring of participants’ answers in one of the competition sessions, the organising committee from the MPR General Secretariat is currently conducting an internal investigation,” she said.

“MPR RI will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the technical aspects of the competition, including the scoring mechanism, clarity of answer articulation, participant answer verification system, and management of objections in the competition so that similar activities in the future can run even better, transparently, and accountably,” she added.

She also appreciated all parties who continue to pay attention to the activity. She said that the quiz competition has been held in various regions as an educational space.

“Public input will serve as important evaluation material to maintain the quality of the activities and public trust in the inclusive, educational, and integrity-filled national learning process,” she stated.

“The MPR General Secretariat urges all parties to maintain a conducive atmosphere and respect all student participants,” she added.
