Viral: Police Officer Transferred for Investigating Alleged Corruption Case, Chooses to Resign

Vicky Katiandagho has suddenly become a topic of discussion on social media. This police officer has come under the spotlight after deciding to resign from the institution where he served. According to various sources, Vicky was previously known as a courageous police officer who handled various major cases, including corruption matters. However, after being transferred by his superiors, he ultimately chose to resign. Before making that decision, Vicky, who holds the rank of Aipda, was stationed at the Minahasa Police Resort in North Sulawesi, before being moved to the Talaud Police Resort. Now, Vicky has officially ended his service in the police institution. He also shared a farewell video on the grounds of the North Sulawesi Regional Police Headquarters. From his post on his Instagram account, Vicky, accompanied by his daughter, is seen leaving the North Sulawesi Regional Police office. Before leaving the location, there was a touching moment captured in the video, showing Vicky heading to the ceremonial field and saluting the Red and White flag. After that, he prostrated himself before the flag flying on the grounds of the North Sulawesi Regional Police office. Vicky was also seen unable to hold back his tears. He called his daughter, then hugged her while hiding his face behind her back. Afterwards, Vicky was seen holding his daughter’s hand and walking away from the North Sulawesi Regional Police office. The video uploaded by Vicky on Wednesday, 1 April, also included a farewell greeting to his colleagues at his former posts. “Thank you North Sulawesi Regional Police, thank you Minahasa Police Resort, thank you Talaud Islands Police Resort. Thank you ZAZG,” he wrote on his Instagram account, quoted on Thursday, 2 April 2026. In the caption, Vicky also wrote a heartfelt sentence that touched the hearts of social media users. He stated that although he was no longer a police officer, the spirit of Bhayangkara would always remain in his soul. This statement reflects his commitment to the values of service even though he is no longer an active member of the Indonesian National Police. “Whenever this brown uniform can be removed.. but the spirit, ONCE A BHAYANGKARA, FOREVER A BHAYANGKARA. I ❤️ INDONESIAN NATIONAL POLICE. I Quit,” he wrote. The post immediately garnered many comments from social media users. Not a few members of the public expressed empathy for Vicky.
