PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), operating as InJourney Airports, has addressed an incident involving a dispute between two individuals in the check-in area of Terminal 3 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten. Corporate Secretary Group Head of InJourney Airports, Arie Ahsanurrohim, stated that the company prioritises the security, safety, and service of airport users and passengers. “On Monday evening, 15 June 2026, Aviation Security (Avsec) officers responded swiftly to a dispute between two people in the Terminal 3 check-in area that caused a commotion and had the potential to threaten the security and safety of other airport users,” Arie said in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (16/6/2026). Arie explained that InJourney Airports consistently deploys personnel, including Avsec, in passenger terminals to uphold security and safety aspects. Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Yudistiawan, said Avsec officers carried out rapid handling in accordance with applicable operational standards. Officers immediately proceeded to the location, brought the situation under control, and separated the two parties involved. Yudistiawan added that his team also coordinated with relevant elements to ensure the situation remained safe, orderly, and conducive without disrupting airport operations or the comfort of other service users. “Subsequently, the two disputing parties were taken to the Terminal 3 Police Post for mediation and further examination,” Yudistiawan continued. Thanks to the swift handling by Avsec officers, he said, the situation in the Terminal 3 area was maintained as safe, orderly, and conducive. Service operations for users continued to run normally without any disruption to facilities or flight activities. “Soekarno-Hatta Airport is committed to continuously maintaining the security, safety, and comfort of all service users through rapid response, good coordination with all stakeholders, and the implementation of security procedures in accordance with applicable standards,” Yudistiawan stated.
