Viral MPR Smart and Accurate Competition Response Prompts Disdikbud to Summon SMAN 1 Pontianak Officials
Acting Head of the West Kalimantan Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Office (Disdikbud), Syarif Faisal Indahmawan Alkadrie, stated that his office has summoned the principal of SMAN 1 Pontianak along with the LCC support team to discuss the matter.
“We have already summoned the principal of SMAN 1 Pontianak and the support team regarding this issue,” Faisal said.
Faisal urged all parties to adhere to the applicable official procedures in the competition. He suggested that the school submit a request for a review to the organising committee.
Faisal emphasised that SMAN 1 Pontianak has accepted the competition results. However, he assessed that an evaluation is still important to prevent similar incidents from recurring in future competitions.
MPR Evaluation
Secretary General of the MPR RI, Siti Fauziah, stated that her side respects the public’s attention and input regarding the dynamics in the competition. In the circulating video viewed on Monday (11/5), the judge gave different scores for the same answer from participants. In the competition, Group C from SMAN 1 Pontianak received a minus five score for an answer related to the process of selecting BPK members.
However, a similar answer given by Group B from SMAN 1 Sambas was awarded 10 points by the same judge, namely the Head of the Assessment Bureau of the MPR RI General Secretariat, Dyastasita. Participants from Group C protested, feeling their answer was the same. However, the judge stated that Group C’s answer did not clearly mention the Regional Representative Council (DPD).
Siti mentioned that the organising committee is currently conducting an internal investigation regarding the scoring of participants’ answers. Her side assured a thorough evaluation of the technical aspects of the competition.
“Regarding the widespread media social coverage about the 2026 Provincial Level LCC Four Pillars in West Kalimantan concerning the scoring of participants’ answers in one of the competition sessions, the organising committee from the MPR RI General Secretariat is currently conducting an internal investigation,” she said.
“The MPR RI will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the technical aspects of the competition, including the scoring mechanism, clarity of answer articulation, participant answer verification system, and complaint management in the competition, so that similar activities in the future can run even better, transparently, and accountably,” she added.
