JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, has revealed that a number of motorcycles bearing the BGN logo, which went viral on social media, indeed belong to the BGN as part of the 2025 budget planning. Dadan stated that the motorcycles are intended to support the operations of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG), particularly for the Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). “The procurement of these motorcycles is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of the SPPG Heads,” Dadan said in a press statement on Tuesday (7/4/2026). Meanwhile, regarding information circulating on social media about the procurement reaching 70,000 units, Dadan emphasised that such information is untrue or a hoax. “The information about 70,000 units is not true. The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units out of 25,000 ordered for 2025,” Dadan stated. However, Dadan assured that the motorcycles have not yet been distributed to each SPPG Head. “The motorcycles have not been distributed. Once all are complete, they will first be recorded as state fixed assets before distribution,” he explained. He hopes that the public can understand that the procurement of these motorcycles is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of the MBG across Indonesia.
