Viral: Man Masturbating in Depok Pet Shop Disturbs Residents as Police Intervene

Video shows a man masturbating at a pet shop in Depok City, West Java, which went viral on social media. The indecent act unsettled residents, including the shop attendant. The incident occurred in front of the female shop attendant, and the exhibitionism was carried out over two consecutive days, on Saturday (28 Feb) and Sunday (1 Mar). The shop attendant, a woman, said she was frightened and traumatized by the man’s actions. The man is described as having performed exhibitionism under the guise of shopping at the pet shop. CCTV cameras in the shop recorded the indecent act. In one recording, the man appears to notice the CCTV camera but continues the indecent act even with customers present in the store. Officers from Bojongsari Police Sector visited the scene at Jalan Raya Pengasinan, Pengasinan, Sawangan District, Depok City. The perpetrator, AR, 26, was identified. “Bojongsari Police Sector officers have checked the scene. The suspect is reported to have a mental impairment,” said Bojongsari Police Chief Compol Fauzan Thohari, on Thursday (6/3/2026). A mediation was then held involving the victim, the head of the RT and RW, and the Community Empowerment Institute (LPM). In the mediation on Tuesday (3/3), the perpetrator AR apologised to the victims and residents. AR also pledged not to repeat the indecent act. AR stated he was prepared to face legal action if he repeats the act. “The victim and the perpetrator have mediated, and the victim has forgiven him,” he said.
