A partner in the free nutritious meals (MBG) programme, Hendrik Irawan, has drawn attention following his dancing antics and flaunting of profits from the initiative. He has finally spoken out regarding the Rp 6 million daily earnings from MBG.

According to detikJabar on Wednesday (25/3/2026), the video of Hendrik’s dance was uploaded to the TikTok account Hendrik Irawan MBG on 15 March 2026. The video has been viewed by around 1.2 million people and liked by 10,600 individuals. However, the comment section has been disabled by the owner.

Hendrik, who operates a Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG), has apologised for his actions. He then provided a detailed explanation regarding his statement about the Rp 6 million daily profit from MBG.

“So today I am explaining where the Rp 6 million incentive I receive comes from. Don’t let netizens misunderstand. This incentive is not taken from the children’s allocation; it is from the incentive provided by President Prabowo Subianto,” said Hendrik in his post, as seen by detikJabar on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

Hendrik claimed to have invested up to Rp 3.5 billion to build the SPPG in Pangauban Village, Batujajar Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency. His SPPG stands on a plot of land approximately 1,000 square metres in size.

“We built this kitchen with our own money. I built this SPPG without using government funds. From the government collaborating with partners, the money is only a replacement during the programme’s run. It’s not free; I invested Rp 3.5 billion to participate in Mr Prabowo’s programme,” he said.

Claim of Not Yet Breaking Even

On the other hand, Hendrik admitted that his income has not yet allowed him to break even. He now states that the Rp 6 million from MBG is not received every day for a full month.

“So President Prabowo gave appreciation for building a good kitchen. To be honest, we haven’t broken even yet. And that money isn’t Rp 6 million multiplied by 30 days, but by 24 days,” he said.

Hendrik also expressed regret over why only he is being targeted by netizens. According to him, all MBG kitchens receive the same amount.

“All SPPGs receive it, so it’s not just me. But why are netizens attacking only me? I don’t mind actually; I apologise for the uproar on social media due to my actions. If any of my words have hurt netizens, I sincerely apologise,” he said.

“We package Rp 8,000 or Rp 10,000 worth into something good, five-star taste but five-foot price. The Pangauban SPPG is able to provide very good quality, excellent quality. Once again, the Rp 6 million is not taking away the rights of the nation’s children or reducing menu quality,” he added.
