Viral: Man Caught Illegally Dumping Rubbish from Pamulang in Pagedangan; Perpetrator Taken to Police Station

Tangerang — A pickup truck allegedly transporting rubbish from Pamulang, South Tangerang (Tangsel), was caught on camera illegally dumping waste on an empty plot of land in the Pagedangan area, Tangerang Regency.

The incident was recorded in a video uploaded by Instagram account @abouttng_official and subsequently went viral on social media.

The video shows a man wearing a white peci (traditional Islamic cap) unloading rubbish from a parked pickup truck at the location.

The video recorder then highlighted the pickup truck, which appeared to be filled with piles of waste in the rear cargo bed.

The recorder also questioned why the man was dumping rubbish in Tangerang Regency, which is quite far from the waste’s place of origin.

“From Pamulang, South Tangerang?” the recorder asked.

“Yes,” the man replied.

The video recorder then reprimanded the man for disposing of waste outside his jurisdiction.

“That’s quite far. Sir, come with me to the police station. Come on, let’s go to the police station,” said the recorder.

“Is this rubbish from South Tangerang?” the recorder asked again.

“Yes,” the man answered.

“This is the regency,” the recorder stated.

Ari Margo, Head of Pollution Control and Environmental Affairs at the Tangerang Regency Environmental Services Office, stated that authorities are conducting surveillance at the location suspected of being used as an illegal waste disposal site.
