Viral List of Officials Involved in MBG Case, Here's KPK's Explanation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has responded to the issue concerning the alleged involvement of several state officials, law enforcement personnel, and politicians in the governance case of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. The KPK confirmed that its leadership is not involved in the MBG case. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters on Thursday (11/6/2026) that the commission is monitoring at least two pieces of information circulating on various social media platforms. The first piece of information links several parties to the MBG case, including the KPK leadership. Meanwhile, the KPK stated that the second piece of information is relatively more complete, as it cites sources and alleges the roles of the parties in the MBG case. Budi noted that this second piece of information does not include any elements of the KPK leadership or personnel in the list of names being circulated. In light of these two pieces of information, the KPK is calling on the public to prioritise clarity of thought and to always verify the truth. ‘We urge the public to always scrutinise every piece of information circulating on social media that has not been verified for its truthfulness carefully and proportionally,’ Budi stated.
