Viral, Friend Reveals Late Yurizal Wept Reading Unsympathetic Comments

The case of alleged unsympathetic comments posted by a number of healthcare workers (nakes) towards a patient named Yurizal Tri Chaerawan has drawn widespread criticism from the public.

As is known, Yurizal had written a thread on Threads on 22 July 2026. At that time, he recounted that he had waited eight hours to receive treatment and had still not been given a room.

“8 hours and still no room, I don’t want to name the hospital because I’m using BPJS,” Yurizal wrote, as quoted from his Threads account on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.

However, the post was met with cynical and unsympathetic responses from various accounts. After further investigation by social media users, some of the unsympathetic responses were suspected to have come from accounts belonging to doctors and healthcare workers.

The controversy drew even more attention after it was reported that Yurizal had passed away on 31 July 2026. Furthermore, an account from one of Yurizal’s friends made the public even more angered by the unsympathetic comments made by certain individuals.

The Threads account @firhan_arief revealed the moment when he accompanied the late Yurizal from the time he was first admitted to the Emergency Department (IGD).

“I am a close friend of the late Yurizal. I am the one who knew the late Yurizal’s medical history from the beginning until he took his last breath. I know very well what it was like to accompany him from the time he first entered the emergency room, waiting for a CT scan for up to 48 hours, getting a room after two days, and even when the late Yurizal was about to enter the HCU the room was full, so he was finally given special treatment in the inpatient ward,” he wrote.

The account owner also explained that the late Yurizal cried and felt sad after seeing the post on Threads.

“I also bear witness that the late Yurizal cried and was sad when he saw this thread. He was tired and exhausted, but I was not by his side, so he poured out his sadness here (on Threads). When he read this thread, his condition was declining and he was no longer holding his communication device, on airplane mode because he did not want to open social media anymore,” he wrote.

In addition, on behalf of the family and friends, the account owner also conveyed an apology if the late Yurizal had made any mistakes during his lifetime. He also asked for prayers so that the deceased would be granted the best place in the sight of Allah and that the family he left behind would be given strength.
