Viral Electric Motorbikes with BGN Logo, Dadan: Procurement Included in 2025 Budget for SPPG Heads

A video showing several motorbikes with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) logo has gone viral on social media, sparking various speculations among the public. In response, BGN Head Dadan Hindayana explained that the procurement of these motorbikes is part of the 2025 budget planning and is intended to support the operations of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG), specifically for Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). “The procurement of these motorbikes is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of SPPG Heads,” Dadan stated in his official remarks in Jakarta on Tuesday, 7 April 2026. However, Dadan assured that the motorbikes have not yet been distributed to the relevant parties. According to him, the available vehicles must still undergo administrative processes as State-Owned Goods (BMN) before they can be used. “The motorbikes have not been distributed. Once everything is complete, they will first be recorded as BMN before distribution,” he explained. Furthermore, the phased realisation of the motorbike procurement began in December 2025. Regarding the information circulating on social media about the procurement reaching 70,000 units, Dadan emphasised that such news is untrue or a hoax. “The information about 70,000 units is not true. The total realisation of electric motorbikes is 21,801 units out of 25,000 ordered in 2025,” Dadan clarified. Dadan hopes that the public will not be easily influenced by unverified information and can understand that this procurement is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of the MBG Programme throughout Indonesia.
