Viral Dance by SPPG Owner, BGN: This Is Not a Business!

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S Deyang has emphasised that the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) is not a business. Nanik has urged the owner of an SPPG in Ciamis, Hendrik Irawan, to refrain from engaging in any unusual activities. “This is not a business. It is a government programme to educate children. It should not be treated in that manner,” Nanik stressed to Kompas.com on Wednesday (25/3/2026). Nanik also expressed regret over Hendrik’s act of dancing in the MBG kitchen without personal protective equipment (PPE). She warned all BGN partners not to engage in strange actions like Hendrik’s. “I also don’t like it; he created content in the kitchen without PPE, which is wrong. For the other partners’ learning, don’t act strangely,” she said. However, six of them are not yet operational, while one other has issues and has been suspended by BGN. “I heard he has seven kitchens, but only one is running and has started. The other six will be monitored,” Nanik explained. “Wrong layout (of the kitchen). There are guidelines for the layout, for example, the kitchen must be like this. There are guidelines. That one has the wrong layout,” Nanik added. Hendrik affirmed that the SPPG kitchen he manages was built using personal funds, not state budget. He claimed to have spent up to Rp 3.5 billion to create it in support of the national programme. “I built it (the SPPG kitchen) up to Rp 3.5 billion, so from the President’s appreciation, the SPPG was finally built, which initially was my capital,” Hendrik Irawan stated in a video on his personal TikTok account.
