Rita Haryati, a PDIP cadre and simultaneously Chair of Commission B of the Magetan Regional House of Representatives (DPRD Magetan), became the subject of much discussion after rumours surfaced about the management of the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) within the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) programme. Rita dismissed the reports, saying she only rents out the premises.

The rumours emerged after a social media post juxtaposed a photo of Rita with the Chair of the PDIP Magetan DPC, Diana Sasa. The post alleged double standards: ‘the leadership attacks the programme, yet subordinates actually run the MBG’s operational kitchen.’

‘The Chair of the PDIP Magetan DPC began attacking the MBG programme. Meanwhile, the subordinates are running the MBG kitchen themselves,’ reads the caption in the viral post, reported by detikJatim, on Wednesday (4/3/2026).

Responding to the allegations, Rita Haryati spoke out. She denied direct involvement in the management or ownership of the SPPG kitchen.

‘I am only the landowner who rents out the site for SPPG. People from Madiun were looking for premises yesterday,’ Rita said on Tuesday (3/3/2026).

Rita disclosed the transaction details. The land measuring 600 square metres was leased for Rp 500 million over a four-year period.

‘The rent is four years Rp 500 million. It was an empty site; I had previously attempted a business there but it did not work. Someone from Madiun was looking for a place yesterday,’ she added.

Diana Sasa, Chair of the PDIP Magetan DPC, also denied the online allegations. Sasa emphasised that they remain fully aligned with central directives to safeguard the party’s integrity.

‘This is not true. DPC PDIP Magetan acts fully in accordance with the DPP directives regarding MBG. Our principle is clear: cadres must safeguard integrity and avoid potential conflicts of interest,’ she said when contacted by detikJatim.

Sasa said she had carried out internal clarifications and stated that the land is not managed in Rita’s name. ‘I have clarified that it is not in her name. The site is simply being rented,’ she added.
