Viral Armed Teen Brawl in Cileungsi, 5 Perpetrators Arrested

A viral video recording shows a number of teenagers involved in a brawl on Jalan Kampung Kubang, Cileungsi, Bogor Regency. Police took action and detained five people.

“Students who were involved in the brawl and went viral on social media have been detained. Five students were detained,” said Cileungsi Police Chief Commissioner Edison on Thursday (20/8/2026).

In the viral video seen by detikcom, a number of teenagers can be seen running while carrying sharp weapons. Behind them, a group of motorcycles speeds in the same direction. Several teenagers in the viral video are described as students involved in the brawl.

Edison said the incident in the viral video occurred on Wednesday (19/8) afternoon. Initially, one student was arrested after his motorcycle was left behind at the scene and secured by residents.

“The Bhabinkamtibmas of Jatisari Village, Aipda Eri Sugiarto, checked the crime scene and secured the motorcycle as evidence. Not long after, a student came looking for the motorcycle and he was also involved in the brawl,” said Edison.

Police, who conducted further investigation, then detained four other people. Based on their statements, the brawlers were junior high school students from Bekasi and Cikarang.

“Based on their confession, the brawl involved students from SMP Cibarusah Bekasi against SMPN 5 South Cikarang. The perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Cileungsi Police Station for further examination,” said Edison.
