Viral: Alphard Runs Red Light at Bundaran HI, Allegedly Intimidates Security Guard

A video has gone viral showing a Toyota Alphard running a red light at a pelican crossing at the Bundaran HI bus stop, opposite Hotel Pullman on Jalan M. H. Thamrin, Central Jakarta. The driver’s actions were deemed to endanger pedestrians who were crossing the road, prompting a reprimand from a security guard at the location. However, the viral video narrates that several people from the black Alphard with the registration number D 1825 XHQ allegedly intimidated the security guard who had told them off. It was later discovered that the Alphard’s license plate was fake, leading the Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police to take action and summon the driver. Menteng Police Chief AKBP Braiel Arnold Rondonuwu stated that the matter had been mediated at the Thamrin police post or the Bundaran HI police post.
