Viral: Alleged Healthcare Workers' Unsympathetic Comments on Patient's Post

A post by Threads user Yurizal Tri Chaerawan (@yurizaltrich) suddenly drew the attention of social media users. On 22 July 2026, he wrote about his experience of waiting eight hours for treatment without getting a room. “8 hours and still no room, I don’t want to name the hospital because I use BPJS,” Yurizal wrote, as quoted from his Threads account on Wednesday, 5 August 2026. However, the post received cynical and unsympathetic responses from various accounts. Upon further investigation by social media users, some of these unsympathetic responses were suspected to come from accounts owned by doctors and healthcare workers. Some of the account owners even made statements with an unsympathetic tone towards the original poster. One of them was social media user @bennychrstn. Based on a search by netizens, the individual is said to be an alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Indonesia. “If it’s full, where do you want to be moved to? On the floor? It has nothing to do with BPJS or not BPJS. The number of people using it is high, so automatically many are being treated, not just you. If you want to be moved quickly, the mortuary room is always empty. It’s annoying, healthcare workers/hospitals and even the government through BPJS are trying to help, but the public acts like this,” the account wrote. Additionally, the account @erudarahaadini also commented with a sarcastic tone. “Your profile picture looks like a ‘have’ person but in reality, you’re a ‘haven’t’, haven’t some brain cells,” the account commented. According to a search by netizens, the account owner, whose real name is Elda Putri Rahardini, is an alumna of Gadjah Mada University and a recipient of an LPDP scholarship. There was also the account @nouzzha_kim, which left a cynical comment on Yurizal’s post. “Yuriz, poor in wealth, poor in knowledge, poor in sense, but wants to be special. 8 hours is very, very normal, especially since you said it’s a national referral hospital. Maybe the level of RSHS Bandung or RSCM Jakarta, right? Can I say something? YOU’RE STUPID AND FULL OF HOT AIR,” the account commented. According to information from one of Yurizal’s closest relatives, the person concerned has passed away. His cousin, Hilda Aprianti Perdana, stated that Yurizal died on 31 July 2026.
