Viral Account of TNI Officer's Wife Alleged to Have Had Affairs with 13 Soldiers; Kodam XVII Command Responds

The Public Affairs Officer of Cenderawasih Regional Military Command (Kodam XVII), Lieutenant Colonel Tri Purwanto, has responded to information circulating on social media regarding a TNI soldier’s wife accused of infidelity with 13 military personnel.

Cenderawasih Regional Command has confirmed that it is currently investigating the alleged affair. “Regarding the viral news about this incident, it is currently in the investigation stage at the Cenderawasih Regional Command level,” said Tri, as reported by detikSulsel on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Lieutenant Colonel Tri Purwanto did not elaborate further on the alleged infidelity but assured that his unit was pursuing the matter. “The case is currently under investigation, and the authorities authorised to provide statements are the investigators from Cenderawasih Regional Command,” he said.

Social media reports have circulated regarding a TNI soldier’s wife in the Cenderawasih Regional Command area allegedly engaged in affairs with 13 military personnel. According to social media posts, the woman, known as an “Ibu Persit” (TNI wives’ term), is 26 years old.

The case came to light after the woman from Jayapura was reported by her husband, a member of Infantry Battalion 756/Wimane Sili. According to information, Cenderawasih Regional Command began investigating the alleged infidelity from mid-February 2026, with investigators reportedly securing several witnesses and evidence including mobile phones.
